ife is tough in India for an average software engineer. Life will take a drastic turn when a 12th class passed student joins medium or low profile Engineering colleges thinking that his/her life will be set if he/she completes Engineering. But we are missing a point here, life is going to start once you join Engineering.
We are all experiencing a lethargic way of teaching in these Engineering colleges, even so-called lecturers or professors doesn’t have required skills to teach most of the critical subjects. Starting from Data structures, algorithms to microprocessors, computer organization, and Operating systems. Once you have removed the essence from these subjects students will lose interest in studying. They will search for alternative ways just to pass the so-called “Exams”. It may be just going through previous papers, getting important questions from professors by having a friendly relationship with them or just by mugging up the things on the night before the exam. One more thing, lab exams can be easily cleared if you maintain a good relationship with the lab attenders.
When these people get into final semester they start looking for a job in an IT industry. When they start to give interviews for product based companies or core companies they start to understand the level of knowledge they have achieved during these four years. *in fact, most of them could not get through preliminary rounds in these companies *
